Vom 1. Juli 2002 bis zum 31. Juli 2003 nahm das EMA-Gymnasium Bonn federführend für Schulen in Bonn am RAFT-Projekt der Europäischen Kommission teil.

18th of June Berlin: German national award to Vaclav Havel, 1994-2003 president of the Czech republic and also of the former CSFR, the four school-bridge schools had been invited to this event in the French "dome" (Berlin Gendarmenmarkt).

Example of "mandata operis": Harbour temple

The archeological park Xanten with the thermae and the museum in the centre of the town was aim of excursions by teachers and student groups from three schools of Bonn on January 2nd and on February 22nd, 2003. The RAFT field trip -which took place in May 26th- would be prepared. Aim is the prooftesting of a new lesson form: Remote Accessible Field Trips, bridging the world and the classroom. Two groups of students will finish homework for her classmates who remain at the school place in Bonn. With PDA, mm mobile, notebook computer, camcorder and digital camera they will get working in Xanten and make her work results available internet live. The group in the classroom can answer the questions of the excursion group, demands made by the array by internet enquiry of one's own put and take part in the excursion so interactively (videoconferencing).The excursion group gets the status of "World Wide Web reporters". We want to test in the first phase advantages and disadvantages of Wireless local area network, GPS, Bluetooth and similar systems under field conditions.

4) March 2003:
Prep. field trip: Burger's Zoo Arnhem/Netherlands

(Field trip TRF/Bush, desert, ocean-Burgers Zoo)

RAFT Scenario: unsuitable, sorry, for you must visit the Arnhem Zoo in real life. We - the human beings - have to smell, to breathe, to feel. to see and to hear  the atmosphere of the tropical rainforest. The human beings could be only guests in the world of the animals. You are not able to transmit these feelings. The humidity is 95%, the students can only test the reliability of the PDA and Digicam.
